Pocket Wizard

For those of you who don't know, Pocket Wizards are wireless flash triggers that allow the camera and flash to communicate and give the photographer fantastic opportunities to use flash light where they probably couldn't without them. We are great fans of these little boxes of wizardry and are proud that they have featured us on their own blog. read it here :

Thats all the post processing done now, all client orders are in and only a couple left to deliver.
A couple of days to relax with family and friends and then onto getting these images out to all those who helped us for our wedding shoot.
Just got our new sample disc from www.discprint.co.uk and all I can say is WOW. Definitely impressed.

Wedding shoot

Getting excited now, Mondays wedding shoot is approaching fast! Thanks to all who responded to our casting calls, we now have 3 gorgeous brides and 2 handsome grooms. Oh, and 6, yes 6 amazing dresses from Perfect beginnings. This is going to be one amazing day....

Well, just one more studio shoot to do before Mondays big wedding shoot at the Station Hotel.  Models, limo's, dresses, kilts, jewellery, flowers, hair and make up. Gonna be some day! Can't wait to see the end result.

Training

I have just watched an amazing training dvd.  I am so inspired can not wait to put some of the things  I have learned into practice.

Christmas orders

For print orders only we should be able to have these ready for Christmas if ordered before 16th December.
Framed prints need to be ordered by the 10th. Sorry, but all album and photo books ordered after this weekend will not be available until the new year. We will be closing the studio for a few days to finally finish off the painting so next week will be the last week for studio bookings.

Wedding Shoot.

C'mon guys, we have had dozens of lassies reply for the promotional wedding shoot for the 13th of this month but only one guy! If you fancy pretending to get married get in touch.

Wedding Fayre

We are proud to announce that we will attending the Wedding Fayre hosted by the Station Hotel, Lovers Walk, Dumfries on Sunday 6th February 2011 so clear that day in your diaries.
Many local wedding suppliers will be joining us at the hotel in February and several of them will be assisting and supplying goods and services in December for our promotional wedding shoot at the hotel.

Wedding Fayre

OK, so we are organising a wedding fayre at the Station Hotel hotel in Dumfries for January.
We are going to do a bridal model shoot mid December and need volunteers. Any aspiring models (both brides and grooms) please contact us as soon as possible.
Copies of images used from the shoot will be supplied to models for their own portfolio.

I have been tinkering with the website.  A job that would probably take anyone else half an hour but me and my lack of technical wizardry it took all night!!  I think it has been worth it!

I am starting to get nervous, have finally got the images ready for my sample Queensberry Album. Going to send the files away tonight I am not sure I can cope waiting for 6 weeks for the album to come back.

Fashion Show

Nervous

Just about to go and do a viewing with some clients. I get very nervous at this point, I only hope they like their images as much as I do...

Location, Location, Location!

We have the most amazing backdrops available right on our doorstep. As photographers we must be some of the luckiest people ever. Fantastic scenery and fantastic clients what more can we ask for.

A Beautiful Day

WOW - What an amazing days shooting, 3 sessions, one couple and 2 families. As you can see the weather was on our side. It was a little bit windy down at the coast but well worth it when I see this picture.

Just back from the studio after a session with the lovely McGill family can't wait to have a look at the images!

The latest portrait shoot with the Lundy family saw the sun finally make an appearance. What a day! Some great weather, good locations and a great family.

All the woodwork is now complete. That just leaves the painting to be done. Why did we pick a studio with so much wood to gloss?

Well, its been a busy week, tidying up the studio and post processing but thats the Sweetheart Abbey album on the website. Hopefully the studio will be ready to open by the end of the month!
